The adorable {Mr. M} and {S} Family

I met an adorable little man the other day. It was a great privilege being able to hang out with him and his family for most of the day. He was an absolute pleasure to work with. He was very compliant and willing to endure my artistic whims. I just couldn't take my eyes off of him! Granted, he was only a week old. But, how can you possibly pass on newborn cuteness?
As though Mr. M wasn't enough to put this session on preciousness overload, I also had the opportunity to photograph his two beautiful sisters. It was a dream to work with the entire family. I had such a fun time capturing the family just being themselves together. I'm so honored that they allowed me to come into their home and catch glimpses of their love for each other. Being able to document that through my photography is humbling. I can only hope that I will be given another chance to capture more candid images of them as life goes on.

Summer Splashin'

There are only two ways to beat the AZ heat once summer starts: hang out inside and soak up the air conditioning, sink into some nice water somewhere, or sample delicious frozen treats. Hmm... I guess there are three options to help cope with the ridiculous temps that are reported every day during an AZ summer. Considering as how the last one is not always nice to the hips, I really only recognize air conditioning and water fun as acceptable ways to beat the heat. (At least for me. It is bathing suit season afterall.)
Well this summer I was able to convince my hubby that we should build a sprinkler type set up out of pvc pipe. That idea was accepted without any hesitation because it meant he could hang out at our local home improvement store and use tools to create said project. (insert Tim Allen man call here. Home Improvement reference for those of you who remember that TV show.) I had to work a little bit harder to persuade him to inflate, and set up, the little pool we had. Luckily, my kids helped him see it my way once they begged and fluttered their puppy dog eyes at him. The final step to our backyard summer transformation was to lay down a large tarp. The tarp's purpose was two-fold; to create a slip and slide area and to keep people's feet from being harmed by our horribly uncomfortable grass. (As a child, I remembered having soft, luscious, green grass in TX. That is not the case in AZ. At least definitely not in my yard. *sigh* Sorry. I digress.)
Our backyard transformation has been summer approved by the kids. They have had so much fun out there at all hours of the day. My hubby and I have had fun too! It is so nice to have a place to splash around and enjoy each other's company.  A few days ago my nephew came over to play for a bit. It was the perfect time to crack out the camera and capture all the splish, splashy fun.

For instant summer fun just add water! Woo Hoo!!

Have a safe summer! ~Stefani
