{W} Family - Mesa, AZ

The wonderful {W} family! When scheduling their session, I had no doubt that they would be perfectly dressed. Their individual styles and personalities were proudly portrayed through their choice of clothing. And yet, they all complimented each other, as a family should. I guess that's what happens when the mother, Jackie, is a personal sylist and wardrobe consultant. I have been lucky enough to have her help in some critical wardrobe evaluations myself.
The session did not, however, go off without a hitch. Our first location was swarming with people and festivities. Thankfully they were gracious enough to be flexible and trust me by venturing into the back alleyways. The boys were definitely up for the adventure! The two {W} brothers were so much fun to photograph. They were not afraid to let their personality shine during our session. I witnessed some of the most adorable faces that, I was told, happen all the time. I could also see the unique bond that the boys have with their parents. A family filled with love.

{Miss A} Back to School Session - Gilbert, AZ - Stefani Bullard Photography

Adventurous Miss A. Where to start. Well, first of all she was a blast to photograph! Her spirit of adventure, enthusiastic personality, and infectious amount of energy flourished during her back to school session. We had so much fun exploring different areas of the park, trying different poses, and laughing about silly little things. Her parents took refuge on a park bench and let us go wild. The best sessions are the ones where the child is free to be him or herself.
Fast forward two weeks. Today I had the pleasure of unveiling the images of Miss A for her parents. They finally got to see a glimpse of our special afternoon together. Have I told you lately that I love my job?! I know I've done well when the parents cannot narrow down which images are their favorite. I love when I hear that I captured who they truly are. That folks, is why I do what I do. It makes my heart flutter, warms my soul, and brings me pure joy.
Here are a few of the images from the back to school session with Miss A.

A great day. A wonderful session. A unique experience that captured who she is at this stage of life. ~Stefani

{M} Family - Gilbert, AZ - Stefani Bullard Photography

Oh me, oh my! I have been busy, busy, busy and I almost forgot to blog about a super cute family. I was so thrilled that the they were able to schedule their session while they were in Arizona for a work conference. We met the evening before they had to fly back to the East coast. In my opinion, it was well worth it.
The theme of the session was casual. Not forced. Definitely not too posey. I think we succeeded! With personality, humor, love, and squishy cuteness how could the session go wrong? Well, I'm telling you, it couldn't. Here are just some of the images from their family session in Gilbert.

That's a wrap!
Sweet family and a wonderful session. I love my job! ~Stefani

{I} Family Twins Back to School Session - Gilbert Arizona

I spent my Labor Day morning following two handsome little brothers around the park. For being twins, they never stayed in the same spot for very long! Thankfully, part of the joy I get from my job is when the children are free to explore. Some of my favorite images are caught during those candid moments. Of course, as a photographer you also have to make sure you get those prepared shots that make the proud parents melt. This session was a way to capture the twins going back to school. It was a wonderful morning full of laughter, discovery, smiles, and brotherhood.

Once in a Blue Moon - Fountain Hills, Arizona

I had the opportunity to go out into the desert, pass Fountain Hills, to photograph the Blue Moon. Considering as how this experience would only come around once in a blue moon I had to take it. (See what I did there?!? Har-har) Thankfully I had a wonderful friend join me in the adventure. Great conversation, a tripod, a shutter release remote, decent weather, and a gorgeous sky were all we needed to capture the second full moon of the month.
I had mentioned awhile ago on my facebook page, https://www.facebook.com/#!/Stefani.Bullard.Photography, that I find myself looking at the sky whenever I am out and about. I love the moon and clouds. In my opinion, clouds seem to hold a little bit of mystery and magic. So on the night of the Blue Moon I was pleasantly surprised by the cloud layers that rolled in and played with the big, bright moon. Overall, it was a wonderful evening. I had so much fun capturing images that can only be seized once in a blue moon.

Little Mr. Keeper

Oh, man! I am so blessed to have such wonderfully, beautiful, and photogenic children. I know that sounds very biased ... but, I embrace that fully. If you are following my blog, then you have seen the two little ladies in my life.  Now it is time for the mini mister to have his turn in the spot light.

This kid is a funny charmer with a warm and gentle soul. He will be a keeper for sure. I know that I am completely smitten! It was so much fun taking him out for a bit just the two of us. Here are a few images from our morning of exploration. Enjoy! ~Stefani

Inspiration Close to Home

As a photographer, I'm always looking for new and exciting places to hold photo sessions. I even keep a pen and paper in the car to jot down locations I see as I'm driving. Fear not. I wait until I come to a complete stop before I write anything down. :)

Well one day I drove by this spot and was instantly inspired! I could not wait to have a special session there. I knew that the client I chose to take to the spot would have to be fun, adventurous, and able to see the beauty past the sad exterior. Fast forward a few days. I took my daughter to get a sassy new hairdo before school started. *Lightbulb!* She would definitely be able to rock the shot at my exciting new location! She is a model in the making. It was an awesome way to celebrate the upcoming school year and her fresh new 'do. I hope you enjoy these images as much as I do! ~Stefani
